The largest optical retails chain-store in Hong Kong was expanding the business across Asia while overseas stores are located at various countries and cities including Macau, Guangzhou, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. They are professional in selling eyeglasses and frames, including sunglasses, and providing eye examination services as well.

The customer was looking for a servers and storage replacement to meet the rapid growth in data usage in their digital transformation journey. We suggested to use Lenovo servers and storage to create a new VMware virtualized three-tier SAN cluster to replace existing standalone virtual hosts and legacy SAN system. The goal is to consolidate virtual machines onto new hardware and reduce the amount of running hardware, saving rack space and power usage, and retiring hardware that is reaching its warranty end date.
