One of the leading comprehensive healthcare service groups in Hong Kong which listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange spans over 1,000 self-owned and affiliated institutions across Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China, offering services such as family medicine, specialist consultation, dental care, diagnostic imaging, and laboratory testing, among others.
With the expansion of the clinic and the addition of a new department in the same building as the back office, it was essential to establish seamless network connectivity throughout the entire facility. Our team embarked on a comprehensive network redesign project by Cisco NAC Solution, taking into consideration the specific requirements of the clinic, the back office, and the new department. The project involved these key components:
Implementation of Network Access Control: This involved configuring firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and secure VPN connections to safeguard the network against unauthorized access and potential threats. By enforcing strict access policies and implementing advanced security measures, we significantly enhanced network security and protected sensitive patient and organizational data.
Redundancy and Failover: This mechanism can help to minimize downtime and maximize network availability. Redundant network equipment and links were deployed to provide seamless connectivity and prevent disruptions in critical operations.
Collaboration and Communication: Throughout the network redesign process, our team closely collaborated with the company's IT department and stakeholders to understand their specific requirements and align the network infrastructure with their business objectives. Regular communication and feedback loops were established to ensure that the final network design met their expectations and supported the company's growth plans.
